Maker's Marks on Serving Piece and What They Mean
Makers' marks on the
undersides of teacups,
saucers, plates and other pieces of dishes and
silverware have been used for centuries.
They can tell us roughly when a piece was made
who made it {what manufacturer} and
in the case of silver and pewter
the content purity of
the precious metals used in a
piece's production.

Just a Quick Post...
![]() |
A view from the back of the Japanese Garden...sigh! |
Just a quick post this morning...
The day is running away
and
I didn't get enough done on the garden post
I wanted to have up for you today
so...
Even though the photos are edited
it's not quite finished.
;)
I'll have the rest of the
Ft. Worth Botanical Gardens
up for you tomorrow.
Part Deux will share the beautiful
Rose Gardens and the Japanese Gardens
during early spring two weeks ago.
Really lovely!
See you tomorrow!

Good Friday Sentiments ~ A Supper of Love
I'm excited as I love this time of year
remembering the good things that were done for us
on a cross a little over 2000 years ago...

Try Bandanas for a Fun Table Styling
A week or two ago I shared
a spring table styling
with most of these elements
however
I've changed up the napkins here using
these cute hot pink bandanas
I found last summer at
Wal-Mart in Kansas
as we were driving up to our
son and daughter~in~love's wedding.
![]() |
With the addition of bunny napkin rings from Pier One Imports, this place setting is sure to please! |
At $1.00 a piece, these bandanas are a
super simple way to change up one's
usual formal napkins and add
a bit of fun!
;)
I like the addition of bandanas ~ kinda
makes one think of camping and eating s'mores
while resting around a campfire.
Bandanas offer that worry free ease of a napkin.
No worries about sticky fingers or spills here!
Just coordinate your bandana napkins
with your favorite china and seasonal decor
and the possibilities for setting a
fun and stylish table for your next event
are limitless.

A Little Spring Breakfast Tea and a Scone Recipe
Our new Little
Home receives
the most
beautiful light
in the morning and now that it
is springtime
“taking breakfast in the breakfast room”
is de
