I love this time of year!
Everywhere stores are decked out
in their holiday finery ~
Christmas trees all bright and shining filled with
tinsel garland and sparkling ornaments,
evergreen garlands draped across displays
and in storefront windows,
holiday songs playing softly in the background
make this time of year seem so magical...
I love going to the local mall
while I'm doing a little shopping
of my own
seeing moms and dads and their
barely~waiting children
with expectant faces and eyes shining
as they await their turn to visit with
that Jolly Old Elf...
After all that shopping
it's was nice to come home to
a warm cup of tea or a mug of hot cocoa
and a little treat
as a little pick~me~up.
This day that treat was a yummy
cinnamon chip scone.
Usually I make my own but with our moving around
I hadn't found the time.
These I found at
Whole Foods
and they are really delicious!
Even days later
they were still moist and chewy.
:)
to share with you!
As I played with the table setting and
a few sweet ornaments plus
this lovely snow white
sugar bowl
{I've been on an ironstone kick lately!}
and that snow~frosted Christmas tree
I nibbled on my cinnamon scone
and sipped on my cup of tea...
Peonies are new to me
I guess I just had never seen them available
in Southern California
or
I wasn't in the right grocery store.
Here in Texas though peonies are available
at Whole Foods.
Are they available in your area yet, too?
They made this little tea party my kinda style ~
all pink perfection!
Nice to get back to my favorite color!
:)
